Crucial matches will be featured in the final leg of the “Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) 7-Stag Derby” series which fires off this Thursday at the Makati Coliseum.

The three-leg series will serve as basis in choosing the 2009 LGBA Gamecock Breeder of the Year.

After 14 fights, LGBA president Rene “Boy” Diaz (Blockbuster) leads the 139-entry field with a remarkable 11 wins and one draw.

Louie Cerrudo (Tangub LZ Calfiz CDN), Walter Villanueva (Lemon Infinitum) and Ren Castro (Princess Cyrene) shared the second spot with 10.5 points each.

Also within striking distance are the entries of Bong Angeles and Rico Nabong (10 points), John Reyes/Danny Halili, Edwin Jingco and Dax Ganzon (9.5 points) and Boy Jiao, Ricky Reyes, Bagay Brothers, Jun Lovendino, and Rod Garcia (9 points).
