Sexbomb dancers robbed, suspect inside job
Sexbomb dancers Aira Bermudez and Aifa Medina suspect an inside job in the robbery of their rented apartment in Brgy. Pinyahan in Quezon City where they lost at least P80,000 in cash and other personal belongings.
Bermudez told Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online on Nov. 3 that initial findings of the Quezon City Police District concurred with their suspicion because their male helper had access to her and Medina’s respective rooms.
“Malinis daw [the robbery]. Mga two to three na tao daw ang gumawa,” she said, adding that their helper is not yet a suspect.
He’s now at his home but could be summoned for further questioning by the police, she pointed out.
Bermudez explained that their helper is also Medina’s personal assistant (or PA) whom they took into their house because he had nowhere to go.
“Gusto rin namin na may lalaki kaming kasama sa bahay,” she said, thinking that he would be their protector.
She realized now that it was a bad idea. “Hindi namin maisip kung ano’ng ginagawa n’ya no’ng wala kami sa bahay,” she sighed.
Bermudez recalled that Medina discovered the robbery when she got home at around 4 p.m. of Nov. 1.
Prior to that, she observed that their helper would give inconsistent statements whenever she or Medina would call him, fuelling doubts on his honesty.
“Thankful pa rin kami na wala kami sa bahay no’ng nangyari [ang nakawan]. OK na kami ngayon,” she maintained.
“Nanghihinayang kami sa nawala pero ang gusto na lang namin ay mahuli ang nagnakaw. Yes, justice [for what happened to us]. Sana lang ‘wag na maulit sa ibang tao.”
Bermudez cautioned people to be more careful because even those they trust could rob them of their hard-earned money and possessions, too.
