Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas is willing to turn over the title Comedy Queen to Manny Pacquiao’s mother Mommy Dionesia.

“Siya na ang susunod na Comedy Queen,” Ai-Ai said during the press launch for “Ang Tanging Pamilya” which also stars Dionisia along with former President Joseph Estrada.

Ai-Ai believes in the comedic talent of Pacman’s mom.

“Hinayaan ko siyang mag-shine. Nakakatuwa kasi talaga siya, novelty, classic talaga ang dating.” 

The comedienne revealed that Mommy Dionesa had her in stitches during their dance sequence in the movie.

“Sobrang nakakatawa ‘yung Singkil dance niya [lalo nung] binuhat siya. Tawa kami nang tawa. Ang maganda sa kanya, alam ng tao na nakakatawa siya, pero siya hindi.  Talagang nakakaaliw siya.”

True enough, a VTR shown during the presscon had the people laughing with her seeming deadpan antics, especially with how she enunciates her words (e.g., Erap as ‘Irap’).

When former President Joseph Estrada was asked if it was true that he personally requested for Mommy Dionesia to be cast in “Ang Tanging Pamilya,” he joked, “Totoo ‘yon pero ang gusto ko lang sabihin, ang pangalan ko, Erap hindi Irap.”

The former president added: “Nakikita ko kasi ang dancing-dancing niya sa TV. Nakakatuwa siya. Hindi naman ako nagkamali sa pagre-request ko sa kanya.”

Ai-Ai feels honored to be starring in a movie with the former president.

“Sabi ko nga, kahit sa second life ko, hindi ko makakasama ang presidente. I feel honord na nakasama ko si Papa Erap,” the Comedy Concert Queen said.

The comedienne revealed Erap’s generosity. “Binigyan niya ako ng dalawang pabango at saka pangtanggal ng make-up.”

In return, Ai-Ai gave Erap a sampling of her famed cooking, giving him a taste of her take on sumptuous dishes like kare-kare and kaldereta.

“Ang Tanging Pamilya” will be shown on Nov. 11, Ai-Ai’s birthday.

“Ang wish ko lang, kumita ‘yung pelikula.  At sana, ‘yung delubyo sa Pilipinas tumigil na. Sana sa ibang bansa naman (pumunta) ang bagyo. Quota na tayo, eh,” she ribbed.
