Imelda Papin topbills UE anniversary grand concert
The University of the East (UE) in cooperation with the UE Alumni Association Inc. (UEAAI) will present UE Alumna and Filipino entertainment icon Imelda Papin in a UE Grand Concert of Song and Dance at the UE Theater on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m., a tribute to all UE alumni, as one of the highlights of UE’s 63rd Foundation Anniversary celebration.
A former UE business administration student, Imelda will perform for the first time in UE backed up by the world renowned UE Chorale headed by choirmaster Anna Tabita A. Piquero, and the UE Silanganan Dance Troupe.
Imelda has been hailed as Asia’s Sentimental Songstress, the undisputed Philippine Juke Box Queen for five consecutive years, Internationally-Acclaimed Songstress, Concert Queen, Idol of the Masses, Queen of Music, Best Talent Show Host, the Most Charitable Showbiz Personality and many more, elevating her to the Hall of Fame.
Imelda has recorded more than 50 albums and CDs in Filipino, English, Spanish, Greek, Tahi and different Filipino dialects and produced many hit records, most of them reaching gold and platinum status.
“Voice of the Heart,” Imelda’s latest CD, continues to reap praises from fans and music lovers. Recorded in the US under 618 International Records, a division of 618 International Entertainment, Inc., the CD is being sold in the US and Canada by the Warner Music Group, and in the Philippines by Viva Records, under the label “I Love You.”
Now based in Las Vegas, USA, Imelda has a TV show entitled “Imelda Papin in America” aired every second Saturday of the month from 4-4:30 p.m. on LA 18, and a radio program, “The Imelda Papin Voice of the Heart Radio Show” on the air every Sunday at 2-4 p.m. on KLAV 1230 AM Radio.

Aiza Seguerra, Jamilla Obispo at Starmall
